Clearance of part and location

The list below shows if the clearance will be of location or part, depending on the pick location and the traceability settings.

A clearance of location means that the balance is cleared for a specific location. A clearance of part means that the system clears the balance for the part, regardless of from which location the part balance is cleared.

• For parts without a pick location – regardless of traceability – clearance of location is always applied.
• For parts with a pick location, but without traceability – clearance of part is always applied.
• For parts with traceability at serial number, clearance of location is always applied.
• For parts with a pick location, and with traceability at batch level – clearance of part is always applied.

In the Clearances list type in the Part list procedure, you see clearance of part and clearance of location.
