Components for Daily management
In this section you find descriptions of the components included today in the Daily management.
This component shows optional text, images, and hyperlinks. If you click or tap a hyperlink in the component, it will open in your browser. The component can be used to for example show different information or function as a bulletin board.
In the settings for the component you can change the title. Here you also find a text editor where you write and format the text to show, insert images and hyperlinks.
This component displays the work centers which have been added in the settings of the view, If no work center has been added in the view, it means all work centers will be shown. You can only have one component with work centers per view.
For each work center you see the work center number and name. From the left you see the load as a percentage. The following applies to the percentage value:
- It decides the loading for the selected date, as an extension of the current loading per selected date divided by current capacity for that date.
- It does not take lag, if any, into consideration.
- When choosing a historical date and loading exists, 100% will be shown regardless of the number of hours for that day when there is a delay.
- If the value exceeds 100 percent, it will be displayed in red.
Next to the load you see symbols and text letting you know if there is a problem in the work center that day. These symbols and problems can be the following:
- – Is late, that is, if any operation in the work center's priority plan has a planned start date which is earlier than today.
- – Will be late, that is, if any operation in the work center's priority plan has a New finish date which is later than the Planned finish date.
- – Not cleared material, that is, if any of today's operations in the priority plan of the work center has an R in the M column (meaning there is a requirement of material). It doesn't have to be a shortage, but material clearance has to be made.
To the far left there is a bar which you can add a color to for each work center, as a way of displaying their current status. You can create own criteria for the status of the work center. The colors you can use and what status they are intended to illustrate are the following:
- Green – Everything is OK.
- Yellow – Disturbance of some sort.
- Red – Problem which must be addressed.
- Blue – Service or maintenance.
- Gray – (default) A neutral status.
If you mark a work center in the component, the other components in the view will only display information for the marked work center. This applies to components related to work centers, that is, Priority plan, Capacity, Rejections, Lag The term "lag" refers to the total sum of the planned setup time and unit time that has not yet been reported as finished for a planned finish period., Internal delivery reliability, and Efficiency.
In the settings for the component you can change the title.
This component displays the priority plan for the work center selected in the Work centers component. If no work center is marked in that component, the priority plan will show the first work center of the work centers added in the settings of the view. You can only have one priority plan per view.
The priority plan shows a pink background for the operations planned to finish today, but that will not make it. This happens if the Planned start date and the Planned finish date are earlier than, or equal to, the current date. And the New finish date is later than the current date.
By clicking or tapping the menu in the top right corner, you will see the following options:
- Change work center – Change to a different work center for the selected operation.
-
Replann order – Replan the order* for the selected operation according to the chosen finish date for the order. The start date is emptied and the affected operations' start and finish date will automatically be recalculated to work with the selected finish date.
* Please note! The entire order will be replanned! This means the finish date for the order might become a different date than the selected. This depends on the available capacity. Also the New finish date might become a different date. This function should be used with caution!
- Delegate work – Select to which person/persons the selected operation should be delegated.
-
Change priority – Use the drag and drop to move an operation in the priority plan and it will then be prioritized* according to the row it was placed on in the priority plan.
* Please note! If you move an operation using drag and drop, all previous operations in the priority of operations will also get priority according to the row on which they are in the priority plan. For example, the operation on row 4 will get priority 4 etc. If you don't want to give the other operations a priority, then you must delete it afterwards in the Priority planning procedure.
In the settings for the component you can change the title, choose the time horizon, choose to take simulation factor into consideration. Under the General tab you select the columns to include in the component. The other tabs represent the options available under the menu in the component. Here you select which columns to include in the dialog shown under the different options on the menu.
This component displays the capacity for the selected date for the work center marked in the Work centers component. If no work center is marked, the capacity for the work centers which have been added in the settings of the view, will be shown. You can only have one component with capacity per view.
A symbol will illustrate the type of work center. It can be Machine , Manual work , Subcontract , or Pool .
In the next column you see the work center's basic staffing/today's staffing for the date in question. For example, 3.0/1.0 means the basic staffing (number of machines/persons) is 3.0 and there is an exception from the number of machines/persons for the day in question with 1.0 machines/persons. If there is no exception for the day in question in the work center, it will show 3.0/3.0.
In the next column you will see the work center's capacity in hours on the day in question. If no exception exists, then this is the Capacity = Basic staffing x Basic time. If the work center has 8 hours as basic time and the basic staffing is 3, it means the capacity is 24 hours. But if there is an exception, the capacity for the exception is shown instead. If the day in question has an exception (4.0 hours) from the basic time, the capacity will be 3 x 4 = 12 hours. If there also is an exception from the basic staffing of 1.0, the capacity in that case will be 1 x 4 = 4 hours.
By clicking or tapping a work center you can in a dialog window add exceptions from basic time by changing the work center's capacity in hours.
If the Time recording module is installed you can in the dialog window also change today's staffing, by adding persons to the work center. This means you move these persons' capacities to this work center for the day in question. You mark the person/persons who should be added. You can select among the persons allowed to report work on the work center. This is configured in the Settings for Start work under the Work tab in the procedure Personnel records – Time recording. If there are many persons to select among you can also search for persons in a field.
In the settings for the component you can change the title.
This component shows reported rejections from manufacturing orders for the entered number of days back in time for the work center marked in the Work centers component. If no work center is marked, the reported rejections for the work centers added in the settings of the view, will be shown. You see the number of rejected parts in the unit selected to be used on manufacturing order. If you maximize the component by clicking the heading, a detailed list is shown. The list shows – per work center and order – the rejected quantity and cause code.
In the settings for the component you can change the title and select the view mode for the component: chart, gauge, or digit display. For the selected view mode you can then configure settings by clicking the button next to the field. For chart you can select from different chart types, set minimum and maximum values, and enter area intervals. For gauges you can set minimum and maximum values, enter value intervals – fine and coarse, and you can configure area intervals. For the digit display you can configure area intervals.
In the settings you can also enter the number of days back in time you want to included and show rejections for. Zero days back in time means today's date.
This component displays the size of the lag (late orders) rounded off to whole hours for the selected date for the work center marked in the Work centers component. If no work center is marked, the lag for the work centers added in the settings of the view, will be shown.
This component shows an absence list of the personnel which are absence. You can only have one absence list per view.
In the settings for the component you can change the title and decide if only planned absence should be shown, otherwise all absence will be shown.
This component displays the internal delivery reliability (based on time) for the work center marked in the Work centers component. If no work center is marked, the internal delivery reliability for the work centers added in the settings of the view, will be shown.
Delivery on time means that an operation has been reported as finished on the same day as it was planned to finish, or within the tolerance (before and after) selected in the settings for the component. In the calculation, the actual finish date is compared with the planned finish date for operations in the work center which have been, or which should have been, reported during the period of time in question. Only operations reported as finished will be included in the calculation.
In the settings you can also enter the number of days back in time you want to include and show operations reported as finished when calculating the internal delivery reliability. Zero days back in time means today's date. You can also enter allowance before and after. This is entered in number of days. Zero days allowance before and after means today's date. One day allowance before and after means today, one day too early, or one day too late, in relation to the planned finish date.
This component displays the efficiency factor for the selected date for the work center marked in the Work centers component. If no work center is marked, the efficiency factor for the work centers added in the settings of the view, will be shown. The efficiency factor is calculated for an entered number of days back in time. During this calculation the reported time is compared to planned time for reported quantity. It is planned quantity per time unit divided by the actual reported quantity per time unit and it is shown in percent. Only operations reported as finished will be included in the calculation. For a more detailed description of the calculation, please read more in the online help function for the Operation follow-up procedure.
In the Daily management you get an average of the e-factor based on the total of the e-factor, divided by the number of days. Example: 0.47 + 4.18 + 2.98 + 3.95 = 11.58 / 4 (the number of days) = 2.895 which is rounded off to 2.90.
In the settings you can also enter the number of days back in time you want to include when calculating the efficiency factor. Zero days back in time means today's date.
This component displays a website.
In the settings for the component you can change the title and enter an URL for the website which should be shown. By using the button Go to website next to the address field, you can open the website in your browser, for example to check that the entered URL is correct.
