The toolbar
You will find the toolbar in the title bar at the top of all procedure windows. Here you will find buttons with general functions for the procedure in question. The buttons available in the toolbar differs depending on which type of procedure it is. If you place the cursor over a button, the function of the button is shown in a tooltip. In the image below you will find an example of a toolbar.
In the table below the most common buttons on the toolbar are described. There you also find the shortcut for the button, if any.

Save as | Save the active record to a new record. In a window you see the data/information which by default will be loaded to the new record. You can there select what to load. | Ctrl + Shift + S | |
Rename | Rename the active record. You can rename different basic data records such as parts, customers, suppliers, and employees. This means the record gets a new code or a new number. | Ctrl + F2 | |
Delete | Delete the active record. A check is made in different registers to make sure that other data is not dependent of, or linked to, the record you are about to delete. If there is such a dependency, an error messages is shown stating the reason why the record cannot be deleted. You can also see the links for the record. This check prevents records from "destroying" for example an order by mistake, when the record is deleted. | Ctrl + F6 | |
Go to first | Go to the first record in the register or the filter. | Alt + Home | |

Default values | Create and save, modify or delete, default values in the procedure. You also load a default value by using this button, provided that there is such a value saved for the user in question. Read more about Default values. | – | |
Layout | Save own layout, reset own layout, or permanently reset own layout. Layout refers to which columns to show, column width, and the order of columns. As an alternative you can reset the saved layout to the standard mode. In lists you can include the own layout in a separate presentation of the list. Read more about Presentations. | – | |
Filtering | Filter via selection. In single-record procedures, such as the Part register, you can filter a selection of records you wish to continue working on. E.g., new parts that you are the administrator for. In a side panel to the right of the procedure, you will see the filtered records and you are able to mark the record you wish to work on. When the filter is applied, you can see the number of records on the title bar of the procedure window and you are able to browse among the records that have been filtered. The navigation buttons are shown in orange. By clicking this button you can also load default values and clear the filter. After you clear it, the active record is left in the procedure. In e.g., Register customer order, you can paste a selection of records from a list procedure. E.g., the customer orders that have order rows with 0 in them in price each can be filtered and copied to the clipboard in Order list – Sales to be pasted into Filter in Register customer order. You when then see all customer orders that need updated straight to the side panel in Register customer order and you can work on them. | – | |
Warehouses | Change warehouse and/or select warehouses to show data from in procedures. Available in procedures which handle data which in part or in full are affected by warehouse. If you have changed warehouse, the button is shown in orange . The symbol is also shown on part rows belonging to another warehouse. | Ctrl + Q | |
Apply/Test/Run | Apply, start a run or a test. | – | |
Export | Export for example a report definition to file. | – | |
Import | Import for example a sales forecast or report definition from file. | – | |
Go to procedure | Go to the selected procedure. There are different related procedures which you can go to from the current procedure using this feature. The active record in the procedure is automatically loaded in the procedure you choose to go to. The purpose is to rationalize the daily work. | – | |
Follow active record | Follow active record in other procedures. This function means the procedure automatically loads the active record or that it becomes highlighted in another procedure. For example, if you activate the function in the Part register procedure and then clink on a part in a list, the Part register will load that part. | Ctrl + Shift + L | |
Show the module menu | Show a temporary version of the module menu at the top of the workspace including the Find procedure field. Useful if you are using the maximized procedure window. The temporary module menu automatically closes as soon as you use the shortcut again or if you click outside the module menu. | F9 | |
Property management | Open the property management for the procedure. The property management is made a separate window next to the procedure window. The button is available only for user with access to the Administer properties procedure. Read more about Property management. | – | |
Instruction | Open the instruction for the procedure. This instruction is shown in a separate window next to the procedure window. If the procedure does not have an instruction the button is not active. If the instruction is new or if it has been modified since you read it last, then the button is displayed in orange . Save as favorite | Here you can add the procedure as a favorite. You can also change or remove the procedure as favorite. First you must have added the Favorites desktop component in an own desktop configuration. You cannot add the procedure in a desktop configuration which is created according to template.
