Internal delivery reliability

This procedure is used to produce statistics on delivery reliability regarding own operations. You can see how your work centers are managing to maintain the planned finish dates.

The internal delivery reliability is based on the operations’ planned finish dates compared with the actual reporting date of each operation. You can also choose to include operations which have not yet been reported or which are only partially reported, but where the planned date is already in the past, to have these marked as late/delayed.

The internal future delivery reliability is based on the operations’ planned finish dates compared with the calculated new finish date of each operation.

Delivery reliability

Delivery reliability is a key performance index calculated by this procedure. The delivery reliability value is measured in percent as number of the total number of reporting items which have been reported on time. This value is hopefully a value as close to 100% as possible.

Reporting item in this context refers to a reporting of a quantity for an operation. These reporting items are therefore loaded from the manufacturing order log.

Please note! Reporting items that have been undone in the Undo reporting procedure, will not be included in the delivery reliability.

Actual date is the date when the reporting was made. The date to compare with is be default the finish date of the operation, but you can also choose to compare with the initial finish date of the operation. You can choose which calendar type to use for the calculations, that is, if Saturday and Sunday and holidays should be included in the calculation of number of late days.

It is possible to use allowances for how many days too early and too late you will consider a delivery to be “on time”.
