Scheduling
In this section you can schedule data extractions for multiple companies at different occasions. It is also possible to trigger manual extractions and delete previously extracted data per company.
Manual extraction
Under the Manual extraction tab you can trigger manual data extractions per company as well as delete previously extracted data.
Selected company
Select the company for which the extraction should be executed.
Data extraction in bulk
When enabled, extraction is faster, but data sources containing errors will be excluded.
When disabled, extraction is slower and performed row by row. In this case, only rows containing errors will be excluded.
Use company number in name
This setting adds the company number to the company name in BI. This function is useful if you're working with a test company in BI which has the same name, e.g., to show 001.1 Company AB instead of Company AB.
Extraction mode
Select how data sources should be processed during extraction.
- Parallel – All data sources are extracted simultaneously. This mode is faster but uses more CPU and memory on the BI server.
- Sequential – Data sources are extracted one by one. This mode reduces peak CPU and memory usage but may result in longer extraction times.
Period
Select Year, Month, or Day.
Historical
Enter the number of years, months, or days into the past for which data should be loaded.
Future
Enter the number of years, months, or days into the future for which data should be loaded.
Extraction schedules
Under the Extraction schedules tab, you can schedule recurring extraction for one or more companies at the same time.
Name
Choose a name for the extraction schedule.
Enabled
Controls whether the scheduled extraction is enabled or disabled.
Use company number in name
This setting adds the company number to the company name in BI. This function is useful if you're working with a test company in BI which has the same name, e.g., to show 001.1 Company AB instead of Company AB.
Schedule type
Select how the schedule should be defined:
- Basic – Schedule by weekdays and times.
- Advanced – Schedule using a Cron expression.
Days
Select the weekdays on which the extraction should be triggered/run.
Times
Select one or several times when the extraction should be triggered.
Select company
Select companies to include in the scheduled extraction.
Period
Select Year, Month, or Day.
Historical
Enter how far back in time data should be loaded.
Future
Enter how far into the future data should be loaded.
Extraction mode
Select how data sources should be processed during scheduled extractions:
- Parallel – Faster, higher CPU and memory usage.
- Sequential – Slower, lower CPU and memory usage.
Extraction logs
Under the Extraction log tab you can see the database number for executed extractions. In this column you can also view information about each separate data source by clicking the arrow to the left of the database number.
There are also columns which show start time and total run time for executed extractions, status for executed extractions, which version of Monitor BI this applies to, currency, extraction period, the number of successful data sources and any error messages for extractions that have failed.
You can select which logs you want to see by first selecting a date interval using the fields From date and To date and then clicking the Update logs button. If you don't select a date interval, the latest 10 extraction logs will be shown.
