Calculate stock levels
In this procedure you can calculate the parts' safety stock and reorder point.
The calculations are based on part data, basic information, and planning settings. The calculations also use planning formulas which are defined in the Planning formulas procedure. See more about the formulas and variables in the Planning formulas procedure directly in the Monitor ERP software.

Calculate safety stock
In this list you calculate and update the parts' safety stock. Safety stock helps to prevent any shortages occurring in stock, and thereby protect the manufacturing process from any uncertainties in consumption or lead time. Safety stock is also used when calculating the parts' reorder point.
Calculate reorder point
In this list you calculate and update the parts' reorder point. Since safety stock is used when calculating reorder point, we recommend that you calculate safety stock before you calculate reorder point.

In a list procedure there is always a tab called Selection where you can select data records in different intervals from the database. The data records are then loaded by using the Load button in the toolbar of the procedure.
Under Selection rows in the backstage of the procedure, you can choose which selection rows that each list type should have, under the Selection tab in the procedure. In the List type field you select for which list type you want to customize the selection rows.
One table shows selection rows possible to select and one one table shows the selected selection rows. You can add, delete, or move selection rows by dragging and dropping the selection rows with your mouse pointer.
Using the Save button you save the selected selection rows.
