Transfer profiles

In this procedure you register transfer profiles to other companies in the system if you want to see stock balances for parts in other companies, apply part synchronization, and apply customer order transfer between sales company and production company. The Customer order transfer is an option.

When using customer order transfer you must first register one transfer profile for each pair of sales company and production company within the group.

The type of transfer profile decides what you will use the transfer profile to. The following types exist and can be combined: Customer order transfer, Part synchronization, and Part information.

To each transfer profile you tie a connection number, warehouse (if that option is used) in the receiving company/production company (part synchronization and customer order transfer),the remote company's warehouses (part information), a setup number (customer order transfer), the production company's supplier number in the sales company (customer order transfer), and the sales company's customer number in the production company (customer order transfer).

You register the connection number and the setup number in the Connections and Settings for customer order transfer procedures.

Transfer profiles are also used by the Synchronize parts procedure. There you synchronize parts in a sending company with a receiving company.

When using the customer order transfer, you register the transfer profiles in the sales company. These will be transferred automatically to the the production company.
